Helen Woodward Animal Center
In 1999, the Helen Woodward Animal Center teamed up with 14 San Diego area shelters to start the
Iams Home 4 the Holidays program. That year they found homes for 2,563 orphaned pets. But that was only the beginning. Since that first year, the annual campaign has grown into the largest pet adoption drive in history!*
Last year, we set a new World Adoption Record* with 491,612 adoptions, but this year we’ve raised the bar even higher. The goal? 1 million adoptions. With your help, we believe we can do it!

Felicity Huffman has proven herself as an exceptional actress in both dramatic and comedic roles. Huffman earned an Academy Award® nomination for her stunning performance in "Transamerica," as well as a Golden Globe® Award and Independent Spirit Award for the same role. Huffman has also been honored with an Emmy® and a Screen Actors Guild Award® for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on "Desperate Housewives."

Most recently, Huffman has partnered with a global pet adoption campaign — Iams Home 4 the Holidays — to help place 1 million homeless animals into loving homes during the 2008 holiday season. The adoption of Huffman’s black Labrador mix inspired her to help raise awareness about the millions of orphaned pets throughout North America.

Huffman can currently be seen starring as "Lynette Scavo" on the ABC hit "Desperate Housewives" on ABC on Sunday nights at 9:00 PM. The cast won the 2004 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and most recently won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical. Huffman was also nominated for Best Actress in a Television Comedy for "Desperate Housewives."

Other television credits include appearances as a series regular on "The Human Factor," the ABC series "Sports Night," "Thunder Alley," "Early Edition," "Jules," and "The Golden Years."

Huffman is a founding member of the Atlantic Theater Company, an off-Broadway theater company where she has been featured in numerous plays. She received an OBIE Award for her portrayal of Donnie in Mamet’s "Cryptogram."

Huffman resides in Los Angeles with her husband, actor/director William H. Macy.
