Today was low-key. I trekked over to Kensington Palace (I only got lost three times on the way there) and saw Diana’s dresses, Queen Victoria’s bedroom and the current Debutant exhibit. The dresses were truly remarkable and I felt Diana’s graceful presence. The Debs exhibit made me stand up straighter and reminded me why I love 50s fashion. Overall, a lovely little tour.
From Kensington Palace, I headed back to the British Museum. The place is amazing and awe inspiring. I did an “eye-opener” tour on Ancient Egypt today which was educational, interesting and just generally great. I left wanting to read everything there is to read about Egyptian history and, well world history in general.
This entire trip has been so inspiring. It has given me a new desire to learn and grow intellectually and spiritually. There is so much history here that it simply consumes you when you are here. I already know I’m coming back as soon as I can. Simply love this city!
Oh and tomorrow plays Newcastle at the Bridge and yes I will be there bundled up against the cold with my new UNIQLO Heat Tech cami.
