Renowned Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano, has been tapped by the Whitney Museum of American Art to build a stunning new museum building in the heart of New York’s Meat Packing District. The Whitney released detailed plans today for the new, six-floor, 185,000-squarefoot building. It will be located on Gansevoort St., between West Street and the redeveloped High Line park.
